I LOVE THIS SONG.
Mika - LollipopSingingSucking too hard on your lollipopOr love's gonna get you downSucking too hard on your lollipopOr love's gonna get you downSay love, say loveOr love's gonna get you downSay love, say loveOr love's gonna get you downMama told me what I should knowToo much candy gonna ride your soulIf she loves you, let her go'Cause love only gets you downTake a look at the boy like meNever stood on my own two feetNow I'm blue, as I can beOh love couldn't get me downThis song's stuck in my head since I heard it while hanging out at Marina Sq with Siti, Ho Ying and Phil yesterday. :D
On another note, reading about the Virginia Tech massacre is really saddening. 32 lives were sacrificed for the sake of a depressed boy. The photos of Cho posing with guns and knives were disturbing. Could it have been prevented? I say, definitely. The issue on the gun laws has never been seriously discussed over and dealt with; and those symptoms and signs the boy showed.. oh well I guess we're all just human. We are constantly in need of some serious wake-up call in order to get action done. One such example would be Hurricane Katrina which revealed one of America's longest kept secret: poverty-stricken New Orleans. For years the citizens have suffered under the claws of poverty, and it was as if the hurricane blew away the covers of this hidden ugly truth of the world's biggest and richest nation.
Anyway, time is flying like a rocket. :(
5 more days before I leave Singapore to join my brother for 52 days in Canada/US. I
hate counting down. I hate packing. I'm going to dread the super duper long plane ride. It's going to be one long, long roadtrip... and will miss Singapore really really badly. (Esp the food. ok haha no I'm just kidding..) But I guess it's time to gain new experiences, time to refresh my mind, time to let go of all the unnecessary baggage in Singapore.......... I shall create a new blog for the trip and if time permits I will update on my trip while I'm there, whee.
All it took was a smile.
